Chesterfield Players and Management Team Visit Spireites Soccer School

On Monday, 23 July, the Chesterfield FC squad and management team visited St Mary’s High School to join in with the first day of the Spireites Summer Soccer School.

The players were greeted by 147 children and immediately joined in with the activities by doing possession drills, shooting drills and eventually going into full matches.

The management team also joined in by leading some Spireites related chants before the kids had photos with the squad, coaches and Chester.

The Trust’s Activities Officer, Nathan Khan, had only good things to say about Martin Allen’s approach to community engagemnet. He said, “Martin has done a great job building good ties with the community since he has come in and I think things like this can only help and enhance the club. The work he has been doing with the Community Trust has been fantastic.”
