Chesterfield FC Community Trust runs its weekly Mini Spireites and Saturday Morning Club’s at St Mary’s Catholic High School from 9-11 am.

Both sessions are coached by Alan Slack, Rob Stevenson and Lauren Speed and have a mixture of fun activities, competitive games and skill drills. It’s a great way to make friends, try football out and learn new skills.

The Mini Spireites session aims to involve parents and give an introduction to football movements within a comfortable and engaging environment.

The Saturday Morning Club always includes technical work as well as a fun game of football. One of our recent participants, Alex Burton, went on to join the Chesterfield FC Academy after spending three years attending both Mini Spireites and Saturday Morning Club.

As part of the Saturday Morning Club, the participants were flagbearers for the Chesterfield vs Luton game on Saturday 13th January.

The children were given a stadium tour which educated the kids on the history of the stadium. The participants also had a go at the Half Time Community Challenge in a chance to go onto the pitch at Half Time.

The children really enjoyed their experience of being flagbearers and welcoming the two teams onto the pitch at the Proact.
