On Friday, August 17, the Trust went to the Recovery Games. The games are a national competition for people recovering from drug and alcohol misuse issues.

It was the first time that the Trust took a team to the games. The team was made up of participants from the ‘A Spire Right’ programme and people who lead the course.

There were 44 teams from all around the country, including one team from Scotland. Out of those teams, the Trust came 4th overall.

There was 10 events during the games. For example, there was a mixture of inflatable events and tough physical challenges.

Scott Atkinson, the Trust’s Education Coordinator, said, “Thank you Aspire at Doncaster who coordinated the event. We had a fantastic team that all represented the club with pride. We were the only football there which made us all ready to put on a good showing.”
